Nissan Altima vs Chevrolet Malibu
- Engine Options: The Chevrolet sedan comes available in three different choices: a 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and a 1.8-liter hybrid option. Nissan keeps it a bit simpler with a 2.5-liter engine and a 2.0-liter turbocharged option. If you want power for your Millville, NJ drive, the Nissan has the engine choices to do just that!
- Power Output: The base engine packages for each model are powerful in their own right but when it comes to pure output, the Nissan Altima is the sedan for you. The 2.5-liter engine delivers more horsepower than the base package in the Malibu and when you compare the 2.0-liter turbocharged engines, the Altima has more pounds per feet of torque.
- All-Wheel Drive Capability: Not many sedans offer an all-wheel drive feature but the Nissan Altima makes it available throughout its lineup. Chevrolet does not offer anything similar for the Malibu anywhere.
- Fuel Economy: Being able to go longer in between trips to the pump is important the Nissan Altima recognizes that by offering more miles per gallon on the highway and in the city than the Chevrolet Malibu can manage. The Nissan sedan also comes standard with a larger gas tank, so it can drive for a bit longer than the Chevrolet model.
- Interior Passenger Space: The Chevrolet Malibu and Nissan Altima offer the same amount of seats for passengers- five. The Altima makes sure you can stretch out your legs with more available front legroom and offers more headroom in the front, as well.
- Infotainment System: Both models offer their own variation of an eight-inch touchscreen and standard integration of Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™. The Malibu also offers Siri® Eyes Free, a feature you can't find on the Malibu.
- Seating: The Nissan Altima ensures passenger comfort by equipping a power-adjustable driver seat and available heated seats very early in the lineup. The Chevrolet Malibu offers these same features but they are only available with higher trim levels and less affordable.
- Interior Amenities: If you're looking to enhance your driving experience in the Washington Township, NJ area, both sedans are equally capable of providing it whether with a dual-zone automatic climate control system, heated steering wheel or remote start. The Nissan Altima provides access to these features at a more affordable rate than the Chevrolet Malibu.
- Safety Features: Whether it's Intelligent Lane Intervention, Blind Spot Warning or Intelligent Collision Warning, the Nissan Altima has exactly what you need to keep you and your family safe. The Chevrolet Malibu comes with similar features but they are locked away with higher trim levels and less affordable costs.
